Accessibility statement for the ticket shop

Validity of the statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://vorlage.messeticket.berlin/ and was created and last updated on 13 August 2025.

Accessibility goal

We want everyone to be able to buy tickets from us, regardless of their individual abilities or technical requirements. That is why we are continuously working to make our ticket shop accessible and usable for everyone. Our goal is to make the content and functions of our ticket shop accessible in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation on Accessible Information Technology (BITV 2.0) and the international standards of WCAG 2.1 (Level AA).

Status of compliance with requirements

The website is partially accessible. It meets many of the requirements of BITV 2.0, but there is still room for improvement in some areas.

Measures already implemented:
  • Use of alternative texts for images
  • Structured headings for better orientation
  • Control elements are accessible with the keyboard
  • Contrast between text and background checked
  • Forms with descriptive labels and error messages
  • Compatibility with common screen readers tested

Remaining barriers
  • Some screen reader programmes may not correctly recognise our pop-ups, which can make some information difficult to access for users with visual impairments. We are continuously working to optimise our pop-up content so that it is fully compatible with all common screen reader programmes.
  • The rules for purchasing tickets can sometimes seem complex, making it difficult for some users to quickly understand all the relevant information. We regularly review our ticket descriptions and are working on clearer, more understandable wording.

We know that accessibility is not a one-time task, but an ongoing process. That is why we will continue to do everything we can to further improve our shop – for all users.
